What We Do

Full-Service Dispatching & Fleet Support

From load searching to paperwork, we handle everything so you can focus on driving.

01 |

Load Searching

We monitor DAT and TruckStop continuously — searching by equipment type, preferred lanes, home state, and rate thresholds to find you the best-paying freight every day.

02 |

Rate Negotiation

We never accept the first offer. Using real-time DAT market data, we push brokers to get you the highest rate your lane and equipment can command.

03 |

Paperwork & Confirmations

Rate confirmations, broker setup packets, carrier onboarding docs — we handle all admin so you never lose hours to paperwork again.

04 |

24/7 Live Support

Breakdowns at 2 AM, difficult brokers after hours, early morning loads — we are always reachable and responsive around the clock, every day of the year.

05 |

Detention & TONU Tracking

We track detention from arrival and aggressively pursue compensation. Most carriers leave this money on the table — we don't.

06 |

Factoring Portal Management

We submit invoices to your factoring company, track payment status, and follow up on unpaid loads so you get paid faster without the chasing.

07 |

ELD Management

Add-on ELD management for carriers who need help keeping logs compliant and operations running smoothly without the administrative headache.

08 |

Trailer Access

Need specific trailer types to take on more freight? We connect Power Only and expanding carriers with trailer resources through our network.

09 |

Owner-Operator Recruitment

Looking to grow your fleet? We help you find and onboard qualified independent contractors matched to your lanes, equipment, and operating style.

Why Path Hunt Services

The Dispatch Partner You've Been Looking For

01 |

<3% Fee — Industry's Best

The industry standard is 8–12%. We charge under 3%. On a $2,000 load, you pay $60 — not $200. For a 7-truck fleet running 2 loads a week, that's over $1,900 saved every single week.

02 |

Aligned Incentives — We Win When You Win

Our fee is a percentage of your load rate, so low-paying loads mean less for us too. We are financially motivated to find you the highest-paying freight — every single time.

03 |

Dedicated Dispatcher — Not a Call Center

You get one dispatcher who learns your lanes, equipment, and rate expectations. Consistency builds stronger broker relationships and fewer surprises.

04 |

No Forced Dispatch — Your Truck, Your Decision

Every load is presented to you for approval before confirmation. Rate, destination, commodity, schedule — final say is always yours, every single time.

FAQ

Every Question Answered

Real answers to what every owner-operator asks before signing up.

How much do you charge for dispatch services?+
We charge less than 3% of the gross invoice per load — that's it. No hidden fees, no setup fees, no monthly minimums. The industry standard is 8–12%, so you keep significantly more of every load. On a $2,000 load, you pay us $60 or less instead of $200. For a fleet of 7 trucks running 2 loads each per week, that difference adds up to over $1,900 saved every single week.
Are there any contracts, setup fees, or monthly minimums?+
No contracts. No setup fees. No monthly minimums. We operate load-by-load, which means you only pay when we actually get your trucks moving. You're never locked in. If you want to try us for a week before committing, we're open to that conversation.
How is the fee calculated — per load or per truck per week?+
Our fee is a percentage of the gross load rate — under 3% per load. So if a load pays $1,800, you pay us $54 or less. This means our earnings scale with yours — when you make more, we make more. We want to find you the highest-paying loads because it benefits both of us.
How do you compare to other dispatch services charging more?+
Most dispatch services charge 8–12%. We charge under 3%. The work is the same — finding loads on DAT and TruckStop, negotiating rates, handling confirmations. The difference is we built a lean, volume-focused model. We earn through long-term carrier relationships, not by taking a large cut of every load.
Where do you find loads? Do you use DAT and TruckStop?+
Yes — we actively work both DAT and TruckStop, the two largest load boards in the country. We monitor them continuously and are on them early morning before most owner-operators log on. We search by your equipment type, preferred lanes, home state, and rate thresholds, and communicate directly with brokers to get ahead on high-paying freight.
What trailer types do you work with?+
We dispatch Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, Step Deck, Conestoga, Hotshot, and Power Only. These are all well-represented on DAT and TruckStop with strong load availability, especially in our Eastern and Central markets.
What markets or regions do you focus on?+
Our core expertise is in the Eastern and Central US — Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Missouri, and surrounding states. These are the highest-volume freight markets on DAT, and we know the outbound and back-haul lanes here well.
Can you guarantee loads every week?+
We cannot guarantee loads in the legal sense — no honest dispatcher can, because freight markets fluctuate. What we can tell you is that we watch the market daily, have lanes pre-planned based on your location, and proactively reach out to brokers before you're sitting idle. Our goal is to have your next load booked before you finish delivering the current one.
What happens if a load falls through or gets cancelled?+
We move immediately. The moment a load cancels — broker issues, shipper delays, anything — we're back on DAT and TruckStop sourcing a replacement. We also track TONU (Truck Ordered Not Used) situations and pursue compensation from the broker on your behalf when applicable.
What exactly is included in your dispatch service?+
Our full dispatch service includes: load searching on DAT and TruckStop, rate negotiation with brokers, load confirmation and carrier setup packets, check calls and delivery updates, detention and TONU tracking, rate confirmation document management, and direct broker communication on your behalf. You focus on driving. We handle everything that would otherwise keep you off the road.
Do you provide 24/7 support?+
Yes. Path Hunt Services provides 24/7 office support. Trucking doesn't stop at 5 PM, and neither do we. Whether you have a breakdown at 2 AM, a broker is difficult after hours, or you need a load secured for an early morning start, we are reachable and responsive around the clock.
Do you handle paperwork and rate confirmations?+
Yes. We handle rate confirmation documents, broker setup packets, and carrier onboarding paperwork with new brokers. We also track and manage load documentation so your records stay organized — saving you hours every week you'd otherwise spend on admin instead of driving.
Do you offer ELD management or factoring services?+
Yes — we offer ELD management for carriers who need it. We also provide factoring portal management, working directly with your factoring company to ensure invoices are submitted correctly and on time so you get paid faster. These are add-on services that provide real operational value for growing fleets.
How do I know you'll find good loads and not just fill my truck with cheap freight?+
This is the right question. Our fee is a percentage of your load rate — so low-paying loads mean less for us too. We are financially motivated to find you the highest-paying loads available. We also set minimum rate thresholds with each carrier upfront, so you're never dispatched on a load that doesn't meet your floor rate.
Will I have a dedicated dispatcher or am I shared across a team?+
You'll work with a dedicated dispatcher who learns your preferences, lanes, equipment, and rate expectations. This isn't a call center model where a different person handles you every time. Consistency means better load planning, stronger broker relationships for your lanes, and fewer surprises.
I've been burned by a bad dispatcher before. What makes Path Hunt Services different?+
We hear this often and take it seriously. The main differences: our fee is under 3% so we earn through volume and long-term relationships; we have no forced dispatch — you approve loads before we confirm them; we focus on Eastern and Central markets where we have real lane expertise; and we provide 24/7 support so you're never stranded. We're looking for long-term carrier partners, not one-load transactions.
Do I have to accept every load you find?+
Absolutely not. There is no forced dispatch. Every load we find is presented for your approval before we confirm anything with a broker. You decide what loads you take based on rate, destination, commodity, and schedule. Our job is to find options that meet your criteria — the final decision is always yours.
When do you collect your fee — before or after I get paid?+
Our fee is deducted from the load invoice. If you use a factoring company, we coordinate directly with them and our fee is accounted for in the settlement. If you invoice directly, you remit our percentage after receiving payment. We are transparent about this process upfront — no surprises on your settlement.
Do you work with factoring companies?+
Yes. We regularly work alongside factoring companies and can manage your factoring portal as part of our services. We submit invoices, track payment status, and follow up on unpaid loads on your behalf. If you don't have a factoring company, we can also refer you to trusted factoring partners in the industry.
Can you help me understand my per-mile costs so I know what to accept?+
Absolutely. Before we start dispatching you, we'll work through your cost per mile — fuel, truck payment, insurance, maintenance, and other fixed costs. Once we know your break-even rate, we set a load minimum so that every load we put in front of you is profitable. Running a load that doesn't cover your costs is worse than sitting still.
Do you help with FMCSA compliance or safety scores?+
While our primary role is dispatch, we stay informed about your operating authority status and flag any issues that could affect your ability to run loads — such as insurance lapses or authority issues. For carriers with Conditional safety ratings, we can discuss strategies around lane selection and load consistency that tend to support improved compliance records over time.
